Season 4 is very well done. Pay attention to the music which has gorgeous variations on themes, and introduces new music.
Ineresting notes about Anna of Cleves.She was the real winner of all the wives, as she inherited Anne Boleyn's lands and homes including Hever. She was then one of the wealthiest women in England.
This is when Elizabeth really becomes close to Catherine Parr, and lead to her living with her after she married Tom Seymour. As you know this led to one of the great crisis in Elizabeth's life, and scandal attached to her name. She was also there with Lady Jane Grey, a girl her intellectual equal, and reformed on religion.
Henry surely was mad by then, as he suffered terribly from everything.. diabetes, obesity, infection, and the results of his brain concussions.
Poor lady Mary is sort of out of the loop now. Catholic, and on the shelf. Edward and the Seymours really advanced the reformation at this point.
