"Henry VIII Had a Secret Daughter Who Should Have Taken the Throne Before Elizabeth I"

An article was discovered from a Facebook follower and this article indicates that a historian claims that Henry VIII had a secret daughter who should have taken the English throne before Elizabeth I.
The link to the article is: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2083826/Henry-VIII-secret-daughter-taken-throne-Elizabeth-I-historian-claims.html#ixzz1iu74zoCQ

The above pictures and the following statement were in the article "Illegitimate: By rights Elizabeth Tailboys, daughter of Bessie Blount, right should have been Queen instead of Elizabeth I"

I wrote the following on my Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/thetudorspage - The Tudor Dynasty)
"Interesting article and it just shows how Henry VIII made things so complicated and how selfish he was as a King...Whatever the conclusion, Elizabeth I Tudor was one of the greatest rulers, better then her father, in History and that's what matters most. I'm sure knowing Henry, there are more children that he had that will be discovered in the future."

Some comments on Facebook, not directed at mine stated the following:
"very interesting! However, Elizabeth and Mary were only declared illegitimate, on the whim of Henry. They were both, technically, born in wedlock, which still gave them precedence over any children born out of wedlock.  Henry Fitzroy was only acknowledged because he was male. Henry often changed the rules to suit himself. One of Mary Boleyn's daughters was also rumored to belong to Henry :-)"

"I don't like to be negative but sometimes I feel as though certain historians make these kinds of claims just to sell a few more books...I haven't read Norton's book on Bessie Blount so I cannot comment with all certainty yet."

What do you think Tudor fans???

I'm not surprised he didn't have many. Certainly Mary Boleyn's children were Henry's and considered as such quietly. Bessie Blount's boy was recognozed though a bastard. If he had another daughter why would he recognoze her when he hardley recognized Mary and Elizabeth,
However, true or not, this girl would never rise to the thrown as she was not in the line of succession. Look what happened to poor Jane Grey. No Elizabeth was the true heir after Mary.
